Our religious education model is called Family Catechesis. We will meet twice a month during the school year on St. Anthony's Campus to educate children in grades K-8 who have been baptized and are preparing for the Sacraments of Holy Communion (K-grade 2) and Confirmation (grades 3-8) while supporting their parents through adult formation. 

Parents will attend with their children once a month for their own formation sessions. Our aim is to give parents the tools and confidence they need to lead their own families closer to Christ. Parent formation meetings will be open to all adults of the parish.

Our catechists (the religious education teachers) are not only teachers but mentors who will be a positive influence for your child(ren) and their journey with the Lord.  We will focus on learning about the Catholic faith while also proclaiming the Good News of Christ’s love for us. Ultimately, we seek to help children become disciples of Jesus.

Cost

The cost for Religious Education is $30 per student or $100 for families of 4 or more children. Payment plans are available.

For older children between the ages of 8 and 18 who seek baptism and/or other Sacraments of Initiation, we offer a program called RCIC: Rite of Christian Initiation for Children.

We meet once a week from September through May to learn about Jesus and how to be His disciples. Your child will receive the Sacraments available for their age at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturdy at St. Anthony.
