The Rite of Acceptance

February 12, 2025This Sunday, we celebrate the Rite of Acceptance. In this, which is part of the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), those preparing to enter the Catholic Church declare their intention to continue this journey. They enter the stage of preparation and prayer known as the Catechumenate. The catechumens publicly ask the Church for the gift of faith which leads to eternal life. The Church receives them and commits to supporting them in this journey. Please offer your prayers for the members of the community entering the Catechumenate: Lydia Osman and Dorian Clayton.
