Our new schedule that runs from Sat. August 3 - Sun. October 6 is posted. Additionally, there's a lot of important information in this message for everyone involved at Mass. Even if you are not a scheduled minister, kindly be sure to read the whole thing (maybe with a strong cup of coffee!).
Please take a look at your scheduled Masses, and be sure to request a sub for any Mass you cannot make.
MSP recently updated the Web Terminal, so things will look a little different. Hopefully you'll find the new interface pleasant to use.
Also, we're all still getting used to the new Mass times and what works for our households, so if anything looks off to you, please check your serving preferences in MSP here: https://secure.rotundasoftware.com/l/web-terminal/my-profile?user=stasb.
We've had to reduce the number of Extraordinary Ministers at the 4:15 pm and 8:15 am Masses for the time being to 1 Body Minister and 2 Precious Blood Ministers. Unfortunately, we do not have enough people to fill all of the EM positions at these Masses, and we do not want to overtax those of you who are already serving.
We've had to reduce our Lectors from 2 to 1 at the 4:15 Vigil Mass for the same reasons listed above. If you have questions or concerns about the processional or procedures, please call Tina in the Parish Office at 574-282-2308.
We are also in need of an additional Sacristan (or 2!) at the 4:15 pm Vigil Mass.
With fewer ministers, everyone needs to be vigilant about requesting subs. It will be difficult to find someone to fill in right before Mass for anyone who does not show up.
Same with arriving early to sign-in. Please be sure to arrive no later than 10 minutes before Mass when you are scheduled so the celebrant can see who is there. That 10 minutes is vital, as it gives Fr. Bob time to find someone to fill in if there's a no-show.
Parishioner Karla Donlon is helping to revitalize our Hospitality Ministry. She will be working to reimagine the Usher/Greeter Ministry, New Family Ministry, Gift Bearers, and parish fellowship initiatives. If you are interested in helping Karla with the Hospitality Ministry, please send an email to [email protected].
We need your help recruiting new ministers. Please invite friends or new parishioners. A warm invitation and friendly encouragement can help rebuild our roster and enliven our liturgies with new faces and fuller participation!
Also, just a reminder that teens can serve as EMs and Lectors at weekend Masses after they are Confirmed, and kids can serve as Music and Hospitality ministers anytime. Kids can be Altar Servers starting in 5th Grade, and we encourage teens to serve through high school.
Please email [email protected] if you know someone who wants to get involved!
