Holy week begins on Palm Sunday, when we commemorate Jesus's entrance into Jerusalem. This is the most holy and special week of the entire year. As we witness Jesus's Passion and Death through Scripture and the liturgy, we stay beside him throughout the week by praying with Jesus and for each other. We take time to think about how we can offer our lives back to Jesus in return for his sacrifice.
We invite you to use this guide to enter into this most holy and solemn week, with your heart open to reflect on Jesus's suffering and death on the Cross, so that it may be filled with joy when we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord at Easter! And please join us for our Holy Week liturgies and events. Download our Holy Week calendar with dates and details.

Palm Sunday commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, when the people hailed him as their king. At Mass, we process with palms, and they are blessed for us to place in our homes as reminders of Christ's kingship.
