In addition to celebrating the sacraments, St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Parish offers a variety of ways to gather in a spirit of fellowship, including several annual events that bring our community together.
All parishioners and school families are warmly invited to attend and to help! Coordinating or volunteering at a parish event is a great way to meet new people and make our gatherings the best they can be.
If you are interested in helping with or chairing an event, please contact the Parish Office at 574-282-2308 or email our Director of Ministries, Bridget Feeks at [email protected].
To nurture a spirit of hospitality and in gratefulness for our many blessings and parishioner support, donuts and beverages are offered following morning Masses on the first and third Sundays of each month.
Volunteers and family teams are needed to help run this event. If you are interested in helping, please contact the Parish Office at 574-282-2308 or email our Director of Ministries, Bridget Feeks at [email protected].
Celebrate the feast day of our Patron, Saint Anthony de Padua, at our annual parish picnic after the 10:30am Mass. The Saint Anthony Feast Day Picnic is held on a Sunday in June near June 13th, the Feast of Saint Anthony de Padua. Volunteers are always needed to make this event a success!
Everyone looks forward to this annual 8th Grade fundraiser. Our students serve delicious Papa Vino's pasta to raise money for activities, Confirmation and graduation. Food is dine-in or pickup. Those who dine-in with us enjoy all-you-can-eat pasta, with a menu that usually includes pasta, sauce, bread, salad, and desserts. Check the school events calendar for the date & details.
In the spirit of giving, our parish reaches out to those less fortunate and assists them with Christmas wishlists. The names of families in need are given to us through the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
The Giving Tree will be in the church vestibule the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd weekends of Advent. All are encouraged to take an ornament tag and fulfill the indicated wish. Participants purchase and wrap their gift, attach the tag, and return it to the church.
Volunteers are always needed to help sort, organize, and distribute gifts. If you can help with this ministry, please contact Kim DeBoe at in the School Office at 574-233-7169 or [email protected].
Each year, we are excited to host a special pancake breakfast to celebrate the Feast of Saint Nicholas, Bishop of Myra. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus (Santa Maria Council 553) on a Sunday around the Feast of Saint Nicholas, guests will enjoy breakfast, a photo opportunity with the Bishop of Myra, crafts, a cookie sale and hot chocolate. Donations are collected to benefit the Diocesan Seminarian Support Fund. Check the parish events calendar for each year's date & details.
We need lots of volunteers to help decorate the church for the Christmas season. Fluff trees, string lights, and make our worship space ready to welcome the Christ Child! Snacks will be provided, and families & children are especially welcome to help. We decorate following the 10:30am Mass on the 4th Sunday of Advent. If you can help, please call the Parish Office at 574-282-2308 so that we can count you in for the sandwich order.
The Jonah Fish Fry is an annual tradition at St. Anthony. Fried on site, this fish fry is delicous and helps raise funds for the parish. Dine-in is all you can eat, and carry-out is available. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve food, and families are welcome to serve together! If you can help, please contact the Parish Office at 574-282-2308. We need volunteers to prepare the church for a glorious Easter Vigil and Sunday celebration with flowers, wreaths, candles, and garlands. Consider volunteering with your family to mark our most solemn fast by preparing for our most joyous feast! We will meet on Holy Saturday morning at 10:30am in the church.
We welcome ideas for fellowship and fun anytime! If you have a great idea for a parish event, please contact us to get it on the Parish Council agenda.
