This is a wonderful feast day to celebrate at home. Children can leave shoes out the night before hoping to find a small treat in them on Saint Nicholas Day!

Traditionally, gold coin (chocolate) and oranges are left to symbolize the gifts the Bishop of Myra brought to those in need.
